About the event

How to rebel through the art and activism of language? As writers, our freedom comes from our words, how we take up space, how we revolt by what we challenge. In this class, we will find inspiration from the words, art, and performances of the Guerilla Girls, CAConrad, Zoe Leonard, Francesca Woodman, David Wojnarowicz and more.


Limited to 12 participants. 

All genres and experience levels welcome!


Aimee Herman is a gay, trans writer and educator. They are the author of the novel, "Everything Grows" and two full length books of poems, in addition to being widely published in journals and anthologies including BOMB, cream city review, and "Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics" (Nightboat Books). Aimee currently hosts several literary series in Boulder County. They teach creative writing workshops at Butterscotch Studios in addition to collaborating with Rocky Mountain Equality on their queer creative programming. Aimee plays ukulele…
