About the event
When we feel stuck as creatives, all we need to do is venture to the nearest book shelf, open up to a page of a plucked book and read. Other’s words can often galvanize our own. In this class, we will explore the essays and poetry of Audre Lorde through her language, artistry, and activism on the page. As we read, we will be encouraged to dig into what we see, feel, notice through Lorde’s expression of imagery, forcefulness, and the action of her message. Prompts will be offered throughout that arrive from Lorde’s words.
Limited to 12 participants.
All genres and experience levels welcome!
