Work with Us
Fireside Ink is built by writers, readers, teachers, and community organizers who believe storytelling is essential to our collective health and well-being.
Whether you want to guide a workshop, lend a hand at an event, or help shape the future of our organization, there is a place for you around the fire.

01
Teach
Share your experience and passion
with emerging writers
Fireside Ink offers affordable, rigorous writing workshops in a warm and supportive environment. We work with experienced teaching artists who can make craft accessible, encourage experimentation, and help writers take the next step in their work. We welcome proposals in fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, songwriting, playwriting, screenwriting, and hybrid forms. We are also interested in programs designed for specific communities of writers who have not always had access to traditional literary spaces. Teaching opportunities are project-based and depend on our program needs, schedule, funding, and fit.
02
Volunteer
Help us tend the fire
Our volunteers help create the welcoming, connected community at the heart of Fireside Ink. You might help us greet writers at a public reading, set up for a workshop, spread the word about an event, support a fundraiser, or take on an occasional project behind the scenes. Some opportunities are one-time; others may be ongoing. Tell us what you enjoy doing, what skills you would like to share, and how much time you can realistically commit to. We will do our best to connect you with something useful and meaningful.

03
Join Our Board
Be a part of what comes next
Fireside Ink began with a simple question: What if Boulder had a more connected, accessible writing community? As we grow, we are looking for thoughtful, engaged board members who can help us build a sustainable future for that community. Our board members serve as ambassadors, strategic advisors, and active partners in fundraising and relationship-building. They help us strengthen our foundation, expand our circle of supporters, and keep our mission at the center of all decisions. We are especially interested in people who love literature and are excited to help us build a broader base of individual donors and community champions. Board membership is a volunteer governance and service role, not paid employment.

Not sure where you fit?
Tell us what you care about, what you're good at, and how you would like to participate.
We are always glad to meet people who believe in the power of storytelling to build connection and create change.
